Karla M. Grosse is a woman whose passion for life and love of children have lead her to spend all her waking time surrounded by the one thing she loves most. Yes, you guessed it, children. Karla is a pre-school teacher as well as mother who finds the time to volunteer at local elementary school. Being able to influence others and be there when they need her most is the driving force behind Karla Grosse. Teaching has never been just a 9-5 job for Karla nor is it just a way to pay the bills. Being a teacher, for Karla at least, means showing compassion to her students as well as pouring her heart and soul into every child she encounters.
Karla Grosse has always wanted to be a teacher and always wanted to be around children. Karla began fulfilling her dream by earning an associates degree in early child hood education from Southeast Community College. Today, she is employed full time as a pre-school teacher.
Karla’s dedication and commitment to teaching really shows by the amount of hours she puts in after the final school bells rings for the day. Karla’s spends her time after school volunteering her time at an elementary school in Lincoln, Nebraska. Here she spends time helping students with any issues they may have and helping them to achieve pure academic excellence. Karla will spend time with the students teaching them new words or showing them ways to improve their reading skills. Whatever the child is struggling with, Karla will find a way to reach that child and help them shine. Karla also feels strongly about keeping all lines of communication open with the students and the parents. Karla understands that parents need to be kept in the loop in order to help the student excel in school. When she is not assisting the students on a one to one basis, Karla also volunteers on the PTO board at Beattie Elementary School.
Outside of work and volunteering Karla is also a mother. One of the things that Karla feels most grateful for in life is her child. Karla is an energetic and compassionate person who lives by the motto “Caring, Teaching, and Learning for All…for Life”. Karla spends as much time as she can with friends and families and enjoys a variety of activity. From going to the movies, listening to music, enjoying festivals and even finding pleasure and enjoyment in yard work, Karla always seems to have a smile on her face no matter what she is doing.
